AK
Studios™ first originated on the year 2000. It's first site was
hosted on 50megs.com server with no layout and just a simple 1
page web, dedicated to the game "Command & Conquer: Tiberian
Sun". As the host bandwidth was too little and has little
capabilities, a server change was needed. This address
http://server34.hypermart.net/aktiberian/ was the second one
used for the long forgotten website. At around mid-year 2000, as
the site was getting more popular, it was being hosted by
another game-only web host, gameglow.com. AK Studios™ revamp its
site layout and started to
receive affiliations from larger sites like cncgames.com and
red2.org, and even got a new site name "AK Studios: The Tiberian
Conquer". This site was still used as a CGI databse where
it was used to upload and configure CGI scripts. At that time,
AK Studios™ got a new domain name,
http://www.aktiberian.com. Unfortunately,
later on, the web host, gameglow.com collapsed. AK Studios™ got
a new host, v-gaming.net and once again improved its site
layout. It was then when AK Studios™ had a highly recognised
traffic and obtained over 9000 visitors in less than a half a
year. It was a sad day on March 2001, AK Studios™ had closed
down its highly successful site, and after a few weeks, v-gaming.net
had also collapsed. the site layout were kept intact on a Zip
Disk and "AK Studios: The Tiberian Conquer" will remain in
everyone's memories. |
